It's been a long time since my husband and I snuck in a breakfast date. We've done the odd 'whilst our boy is at school' lunch, coffee and cake date, but breakfast? Never. In fact it has probably been years since we actually did this together. *I'm so not exaggerating!*
So Monday, after the dreaded school drop off, we scurried (ssshhh quite literally) off to Bills Restaurant to experience their delicious breakfasts. I think this may be my favourite mini-date, the breakfast thing - after all who needs a lunch date when you have pancakes, right?!
Who doesn't love a good pair of boots and I have a such a thing for navy ones! So difficult to find don't you think? I stumbled across these (thank you Google) and what's more they won't break the bank...£24.99
Ah, swimming. You've been a real tricky one for my boy - cue a terrified little one at the start, fearful of the water going anywhere near his face and wouldn't dream of going under. One to one lessons beckoned back in December and we have the most super teacher, his confidence has just grown and grown.
Tonight he got his badges and is swimming unaided, totally on his own. Apparently he's not far off Stage 2 either. *Proud parent alert*
My little fish, now jumping in, going under and most importantly loving it all. It's so important for them to learn to swim...
